The study was based on descriptive and quantitative statistics in analyzing the data collected.
Results show the average fish production reached about 27.80 thousand tons, as it was shown from the study of fish production and economic merit indicators in Lake Nasser during the period (2000-2020) that the average productivity of an acre of Lake Nasser’s fisheries amounted to about 20.5 kg/acre/season, and the average productivity ranged the compound is about 10.5 tons/boat/season. the average fisherman’s productivity was about 3.5 tons/hunter/season. the average acre yield was about 257.6 pounds/acre/season. the average compound yield was about 131.6 thousand pounds/boat/season. While the average return of the fisherman was about 43.9 thousand pounds/season, and by studying the percentage of the producer’s income from the consumer’s pound, it was found that it amounted to about 80% for the tilapia type of fish, and it amounted to about 77.8% for the white fish type, while it reached about 82.4% for the Shamos type of fish.
The study recommends need to activate the monitoring role of the water bodies police to protect the lake from illegal fishing, work to balance and organize the fishing effort in the lake, increase the actual capacity of fish hatcheries, improve and raise the marketing efficiency of fish to protect fishermen from the monopoly of merchants.
