The phenomenon of inflation is a problem inherent to the economies of different countries of the world, both developed and developing, and it is characterized by its rapid spread from one country to another, its strong growth from time to time, and the difficulty of controlling it. Demand for goods and services without being matched by an increase in real gross domestic product and thus an increase in prices. It also arises as a result of an increase in the costs of domestic and imported production factors, or as a result of an imbalance in some structural factors of the economic structure.
