A study of the impact of some socialization institutions on marital problems in one of the villages of Gharbia Governorate

Abstract

 This study mainly aimed to achieve the objectives of studying the impact of socialization institutions on marital problems through the following sub-objectives: Identifying the personal, social, economic and educational characteristics of the respondents and describing the level of suffering from the respondents’ marital problems in each of the five studied areas, namely: social problems, economic problems, psychological problems, health problems, ethical problems and identifying the nature of the relationship between the degree of suffering from marital problems of respondents in Each of the five fields studied and between each of the following variables: husband’s age, wife’s age, family size, family monthly income, number of years of marriage, cultural openness and determining the moral differences in the levels of suffering from marital problems of the respondents in each of the five fields studied When classifying them on the basis of each of the following variables: gender, work status, education level of the husband, education level of the wife, method of choosing a life partner, parents’ marital status, type of housing, type of family, as well as identifying the impact of the studied socialization institutions, namely: the family (parenting, Partner’s parents), the group of companions, and the media on the marital problems experienced by the respondents in the study sample and to identify the most important The reasons leading to the occurrence of marital problems, as well as proposals to solve them from the respondents' point of view, and finally the proposal of the main pillars upon which a strategy is based on alleviating the severity of marital problems in the study area, in the light of the findings of the study. The village of Al-Amriya was chosen as one of the villages affiliated to the center of Al-Mahalla Al-Kubra, Al-Gharbia Governorate, to be a geographical area for conducting the study. and its affiliated farms, by dividing the village into four housing sectors, so that 90 families are selected in each sector. After the completion of data collection, unpacking, tabulation and tabulation, it was displayed through tabular display with frequencies and percentages and was statistically analyzed using a number of statistical tools represented in: arithmetic mean, standard deviation, weighted arithmetic mean, simple correlation coefficient (Pearson), and "t" test, The standard partial and partial regression coefficient.
 The most important findings of the study were as follows:
 - More than half of the respondents (58%) have a high level of suffering from economic problems, and misappropriation of income came at the forefront of items, with a weighted arithmetic average of (1.90) degrees. Less than half of the respondents (46.2%) suffer from high overall marital problems.
 - There are significant differences in the degrees of suffering from total marital problems between male and female respondents in favor of females.
 - The heads of the families surveyed mentioned 29 items for the most important reasons that lead to the occurrence of marital problems, and at the forefront of those items were the lack of understanding between the spouses and the difference in viewpoints, at a rate of (22.7%).
- The heads of the families surveyed mentioned 24 items for the most important proposals for solving marital problems, and at the forefront of those items were dialogue, positive understanding and listening to the other party, at a rate of (24.1%).
 - The degree of positive impact of the parental family at the general level is average, where the weighted average value reached (1.84) degrees. It came at the forefront of the items. My parents take care of my children when I suffer a health crisis. By my father, which helped me in my marital relationship with a weighted average score of 1.22.
 - The degree of positive influence of the partner’s parents on marital problems at the general level is average, where the weighted average value reached (1.84) degrees. It came at the forefront of the items. My partner’s parents take care of my children when I suffer a health crisis with a weighted arithmetic average of (1.80) degrees, while at the bottom of the items I received information before Marriage to my partner’s family about married life and how to deal with it, with a weighted average of (1.30) degrees.
- The degree of positive influence of the group of companions on marital problems at the general level is average, where the weighted average value reached (1.54) degrees and came at the forefront of the items. I always get lessons learned from the experiences of my friends in their family life with a weighted arithmetic average of (2.03) degrees, while it came in the back Items I always compare my married life with the lives of my friends and would like to imitate them with a weighted arithmetic average of (1.28) degrees.
 - The degree of positive impact of the media on marital problems at the general level is average, where the weighted average value reached (1.59) degrees. At the forefront of the items were the causes of marital disputes presented by the media, real causes with a weighted arithmetic average of (1.90) degrees, while at the bottom of the items came some affected Media and drama personalities and imitate their personalities in solving my marital problems with a weighted average of (1.37).
- Finally, the results of the study indicated that there was a negative significant effect on the monthly income of the family and the educational level of the husband on the variable degree of suffering from total marital problems.
