RULAR WOMAN SMALL-SCALE DAILY FARMING AND THEIR ROLE IN THEIR FAMILIES LIVELIHOOD

Abstract

The present study focuses on the level of participation of rural women in
small-scale dairy farming activities, and their contribution to their families'
livelihood ,It also investigate the factors influencing women’s participation in
dairy farming. The study was conducted in "Um-Khenan" village at Giza
governorate. Data were collected from 185 rural women involved in dairy
farming practices through direct interviews using questionnaire.
The results showed that: significance relationships were approved
between rural women's level of participation in milk production and the
following variables: personal factors, number of years of experience, total
number of family members, age, problems in services,
And there is significance relationship between: their role in milk
marketing and total number of family members, years of assistant education,
and number of years of experience in milk production.
